Yoga asks us inquire into our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves. For the preschool students attending the Fitzgerald Institute, this exploration process begins at an early age.
For six weeks, Ebb n' Flow Yoga welcomed these little butterflies into our studio for 30 minute yoga classes. Read reflections from Erin Fournier, the Fitzgerald Institute's Director of Operations and Learning Coach, as well as Kristin Hicks, who co-led the yoga program with the aid of her daughter, Jaelyn.
Sun salutations now have a whole new meaning at Ebb n' Flow Yoga. Beginning this week, the studio now runs on solar energy. Yes!
Years back, I learned the Zulu word ubuntu. This word speaks to the universal humanity within us all. It translates to, "I am because you are." Or as some say, "I am because we are."
Our recent "Ebb n' Flow Yoga Is" campaign widened my appreciation for this beautiful notion. Since mid-December, we've heard from so many of you about what Ebb n' Flow Yoga means to you. What a joy is was to receive those white board love notes! And what a greater joy it was to share love back on our Instagram account. I am because you are.
I find that fulfillment, for me, lies in helping people develop themselves - mind, body, and soul. It is easy for me to see potential and beauty in others, and I feel incredibly lucky to spend my time helping people see what I see in them.
The turning of a calendar year marks a natural point for reflection. What is Ebb n' Flow Yoga taking into the new year? What ought we leave behind in 2017? How can we continuously foster a space where "a place to breathe and be" is experienced, all the time and in all ways?
As I reflect on 2017, it really was ALL the things. There were moments of great joy and undeniable heartache, peace and anxiety ridden challenges. I guess within the year's wholeness is where I - and we - continue to learn, grow, and live our truths. These nine images capture some true gems Ebb n' Flow Yoga experienced in 2017. Our #2017bestnine.
