Please refrain from eating heavy meals less than 2 hours prior to class
Please do not wear any lotion, perfume, cologne, essential oils, or fragrances ("natural" or "organic"). Just like natural body odors, they will become intensified by the heat of the practice. Some students are sensitive and would greatly appreciate your help.
Bring your yoga mat or rent one for $2-
If someone is looking for a space to place their mat, please offer some help
Remove shoes and socks before entering the practice room
Wear clean comfortable clothing
Observe good personal hygiene
If you must leave before savasana (final relaxation), please do so quietly as not to disturb your fellow students
Silence your cell phone
If you have had any personal injuries, recent surgeries or are pregnant, please communicate this to your instructor, prior to class
Inform the instructor if you have any physical concerns or restrictions prior to class
Be conscious of your body and remember to breathe!
How do I prepare for my aerial yoga class? (in addition to above)
Bring a towel for padding until you are used to the pressure of the hammock fabric
Wear clean, comfortable, form-fitting clothing that covers your armpits and knees
Avoid baggy clothing or shorts
Avoid eating or drinking acidic liquids less than an hour prior to class
Do not wear any clothing that could snag the hammock fabric
Remove all sharp jewelry, especially sharp rings and bracelets, before the class
What conditions or factors would prevent me from attending aerial yoga?
Glaucoma, detached retina
High or very low blood pressure
Recent head injury
Middle ear infection
Recent surgery (eyes, back or hips)
Hiatal hernia, ventral hernia, disc hernia
Acute degenerative disc disease
Spinal nerve root inflammation
Severe muscle spasms
History of congestive heart failure
Currently using anti-coagulants
